I have had two Microsoft technicians log in to my computer to address the issue. Both were unsuccessful. I’ve run the various “Fix its” with absolutely no results. I’ve edited the registry, renamed and deleted the Microsoft Help folder, and deleted all temp files with no results.
I’ve browsed the forums, tried the fixes, and nothing. Miceosoft previously had Microsoft Office installed on my machine. One day it stopped working, unexpectedly, microsoct prompted me dowmload repair it in Control Panel. When I went to repair it via the installer, it would fail.
I also could not uninstall it. I had to use a Microsoft “Fix it” to uninstall Office I then deleted all trace folders, etc. Since then, I have not been able to install Office My computer is far above the system requirements, I am running Windows 8, and used to run Office programs just fine. My computer was 32 bit according to system information but I installed 64 bit version and it worked fine.
